Micro Ceramic Composite (MCC) cone low-frequency drivers

The C245 features dual 5.25-inch (130mm) Micro Ceramic Composite (MCC) cone woofers with inverted surrounds. This design incorporates a hidden flange and integrated trim ring, concealing all hardware and emphasizing the sleek aesthetics of the front panel. The woofer utilizes a newly patented cast frame engineered to optimize airflow for maximum cooling, reduced weight, increased rigidity, and improved resonance performance.

1-inch (25mm) Deep Ceramic Composite (DCC) dome tweeter

The C245’s 1-inch (25mm) DCC dome tweeter is mounted in a 7th-generation Acoustic Lens waveguide, setting a new standard for performance in its class. This advanced design ensures seamless integration with the woofers for superior directivity control, resulting in greater efficiency, improved dynamic range, and reduced distortion. Developed using advanced modeling software, the tweeter delivers exceptionally smooth sound even far off-axis, an important contributor to overall sound quality, providing consistent performance across an exceptionally wide listening area. The new waveguide even increases dispersion at higher frequencies, creating a more immersive and natural listening experience.

Premium Design Details

The C245 embodies luxury craftsmanship and decades of loudspeaker expertise, featuring magnetically attached grilles for a clean, seamless look with no visible fasteners. Hidden hardware and integrated trim rings add a refined touch, while a polished black accent complements the rigid, cross-braced cabinet. Gently curved cabinet sides are finished in premium wood veneers, available in natural walnut or black walnut. Every detail is designed to please the eye as much as the ear.

Precision 2-Way Crossover

The C245 employs a precision 2-way crossover network featuring premium components, including air-core inductors in the tweeter circuits. These high-quality elements preserve subtle musical details that would otherwise be lost. This coupled with the dual MCC woofers produces excellent dialogue and is the perfect addition to a home theater system. Revel’s world-class engineering team utilizes high-order crossover slopes and a proprietary 7th-generation Acoustic Lens waveguide geometry to achieve seamless transducer integration, delivering exceptional accuracy and natural sound reproduction.
